We are seeking to hire a qualified candidate to fill the position of Technical Writer in our Houston, TX location.

Job Summary

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:    

• Writing, editing and publishing Smith news magazine
• Writing, editing trade journal/technical articles
• Provide writing support to field engineers

Job Qualifications

• College degree in science, english or technical writing preferred; or high school diploma with two years technical writing experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word
• Knowledge of Adobe design software, Photoshop, In Design, etc
• Ability to provide technical writing support in issues related to the E&P industry
• Knowledge of technical documentation filing and database
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision
