Smith employees work in our own facilities, at our clients work sites, and by driving on the worlds roads. We routinely assess risks and implement adequate controls to protect people and the environment. However, occasionally conditions can change, or the scope of work changes. When this happens, it can become necessary to stop work to reassess the hazards and ensure that controls are improved.
No job is ever so urgent or so important that we cant take the time to do it safely and protect the environment. Every Smith employee has the right and the obligation to stop any activity to assess hazards and control risks.
I would like everyone in Smith to know they have managements full support to stop the job whenever necessary.
